MMB Contest Terms and Conditions

I. Categories

1. Game - RoomEscape - "Games" is usually the most popular contest category. MMB does not shine in action games, but there were some very nice logical, puzzle or arcade games created with MMB! It would really be nice to see some more of them. Games like "search-for-items-and-use-them-in-the-proper-places" or "unlock-the-safe", etc..

2. Screensaver - Just create a windows screensaver using MMB. Some examples of MMB screensavers can be found in folder \Samples\496_examples\screensavers. No other limitations in this category, except the limitations mentioned in paragraphs II and III.

3. Open category - No limitations in this category, except the limitations mentioned in paragraphs II and III. In this category you can realize any project, which is not fitting neither of above two categories.


II. General Instructions
 
2.1 The project must be absolutely new (not designed before the official start of contest). If we find that the registered project is old, we will remove it from contest and ban the participant from this contest.

2.2 The contest duration is 21st October – 7th December;

2.3 Anyone can participate only in one selected category;

2.4 Please, add a short description of the project and all related information (like copyright, "installation" and "how to use" instructions, etc..) in form of simple Readme.txt file;

2.5 The project must be compiled as single exe file and send to us in ZIP/RAR archive;

2.6 Plugins and Binded 3rd party applications are not allowed in this contest;

2.7 You can use Flash, but you should take in mind that this contest is about MMB, not about Flash!;

2.8 All others MMB objects and tools are allowed. But we want to remind you that this contest is about quality, not quantity of used objects!;

2.9 Participating in this contest you agree with publishing the project (including it's source) at MMBFroums, Mediachance and other MMB related webs (of course, as a freeware/opensource);

III. Category Instructions

3.1 Game - Room Escape

3.1.1 The maximum size of project in this category is 5,0 MB;
 
3.2 Screensaver

3.2.1 The maximum size of project in this category is 1,5 MB;

3.2.2 Resolution should be 800x600 or 1024x768 with enabled "Try to change to" option (in "Project Settings" window).

3.3 Open Category

3.3.1 The maximum size of project in this category is 2,0 MB.


IV. Sending your project to us

4.1. Please, e-mail your contest work to contest2006@mmbgroup.com (don't forget to register!). The end date of submission of all contest works is 7th of December 2006;

4.2. We will inform you about any problem we find in your project. You can fix the problems and send us the fixed project, but we will not accept adjustments after 7th December.


V. Projects publishing and announcement of the winners

5.1. All project will be placed at MMB Contest site on 10th December;

5.2. The winners will be selected by MMB Contest Team and published at MMB Contest site on 14th December;

5.3. All winners will be contacted via e-mail.


VI. Prizes

In each contest category will be selected 1st place, which will be awarded by below Mediachance licenses according your choice. Winners may choose any of these bundles:

a) DVDLab Studio
b) MMB+MP3, Photobrush and UltraSnap
c) RealDraw Pro, DCE AutoEnhance and PhotoSEAM
